A family-owned equipment shop in Thibodaux. Going on 23 years.
We're not a chain. We're not a corporation. We're not the regional rep for a holding company three states away. We're a Thibodaux shop, run by the family that started it, serving the people who keep the Bayou Region working.

What we do, in plain terms.

Bill Bolton founded Bolton Equipment Services in May of 2003 and has since retired. His son, Philip Bolton, now serves as president and runs the company. Brant Bergeron coordinates service, scheduling, and parts. Michelle Bourgeois keeps the office moving. Our team of service techs brings more than 50 years of combined experience working on industrial equipment.
We sell new and used forklifts. We rent them. We fix them. We work on all makes and all models, not just the ones we sell. We're the only authorized Tailift dealer in Louisiana. We're an A+ accredited business with the Better Business Bureau, accredited since July of 2017.
That's the short version.
Is mostly about other people.
In 23 years we've worked with sugar mill maintenance managers in Raceland and Lockport. Fab yard foremen in Houma. Port Fourchon supply base supervisors who needed a 22,500 pound forklift the day before yesterday. Warehouse operations managers in Schriever who were trying to make the jump from lead-acid to lithium-ion before their second shift ate them alive. Contractors building schools, churches, hospitals, and pump stations from Morgan City to Belle Chasse.
Some have been customers for two decades. Some called us at 2 a.m. last Tuesday. The work doesn't really change. People need machines to do things that machines do better than people. The machines need to start every morning. When they don't, somebody has to fix them.
That somebody, for a lot of South Louisiana, has been us.
About the work.

The people who load the boats, run the mills, fab the modules, stack the warehouses, drive the trucks, and dig the dirt are the people this country actually runs on.
A working forklift is more important than a fancy showroom.
A 30-minute drive from Thibodaux to a customer's yard beats a four-hour wait for a tech out of Baton Rouge.
"I don't know yet, but I'll find out" is a better answer than a guess.
A part either ships today or it doesn't, and the customer deserves to know which one before lunch.
A handshake still counts.
Who you'll talk to.

Philip Bolton
Runs the company day to day. Son of founder Bill Bolton. The person customers talk to when they want to talk to the top of the house.
Brant Bergeron
Handles most service scheduling and parts ordering. If your machine is down or you need a part on the shelf, Brant is who you'll end up on the phone with.
Michelle Bourgeois
Runs the front of the house. Quotes, scheduling, parts orders, billing. If she doesn't pick up on the first ring, she'll call back before the second cup of coffee.
1460 Tiger Drive, Thibodaux.
Right off Highway 1, between Houma and Raceland, an easy haul from Port Fourchon, the Houma fabrication yards, the sugar belt along Bayou Lafourche, and the warehouse corridors heading toward New Orleans.
